The entire third grade class researched and wrote a short exciting summary about a Famous American of their choice. Caleb chose Johnny Appleseed. They memorized their summary and performed for the entire school at chapel yesterday. It was the cutest group of Famous Americans I have ever seen! Caleb spoke so confidently ... we were so proud of him. My knees would have been knocking in front of a crowd like that but he just seemed to love it!
to John Chapman "Johnny Appleseed" who shared hundreds of seeds and trees with the poor as he walked over 100,000 square miles ... and to my Caleb who said "I picked him because he knows that those seeds were really God's not his and he just helped spread them around!"

Johnny Appleseed has always been a favorite in our house, and Caleb even more of a favorite. Great job on your report, Caleb - we love you!
